Interior design including CAD work for Casino by Hyde Park
While the great 'working from home' debate finally gets tested in a BIG way, there is a minimalism entering the equation from both sides - companies need to cut costs, workers with kids are juggling more than ever, but those who can work from home are spared commute times.
For those undertaking interior design, working on a pared down approach can benefit both sides. Where budgets are tight, less meetings, less drawings, less models leads to a more risky path, how do ideas get explained, how do both sides know they are on the same page? You have to make the best of a situation, and if saving money is the bottom line, it can be done.
For sure, visuals are required. But they can be of a somewhat rough and ready approach to give the idea. Here is an example I did for a casino electronic gaming room where we wanted to convey the opportunity that the ceiling presented to take the room to another level. It was an elegant way to incorporate the new branding and leaping horse logo. So pleased the client went for it. It took guts but it paid off.
